ChemInform Abstract: Cyanamide: A Convenient Building Block to Synthesize 4‐Aryl‐2‐cyanoimino‐3,4‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrimidine Systems via a Multicomponent Reaction.

Abstract

A large variety of target compounds is prepared under mild conditions using a four-component Biginelli-type reaction. The method is general for aromatic and heteroaromatic aldehydes, including bisaldehydes, but is not applicable to aliphatic substrates.
