Abstract: Ausgehend von Sisamin (Ia) sind die Derivate (Ib)‐(Id) zugänglich; durch Alkali‐Einwirkung auf (Ic) entsteht das reaktionsfreudige Epimin (II), das mit Na‐acetat das trans‐diaxiale Öffnungsprodukt (IIIa) liefert [besser wird dieses in direkter Reaktion aus (Ic) gewonnen].
