ChemInform Abstract: Electric Conductivity and Thermoelectromotive Force of the Orthochromites of the Rare Earth Elements of the Cerium Subgroup.

Abstract

Samples of the title compounds are prepared from mixtures of the oxides of the corresponding rare earth metals (La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd) and chromium oxide by heated to 1700 K for 4 h. The thermoelectromotive forces and the electric conductivities of the title compounds are measured between 870‐1270 K in atmospheres of varying partial pressures of oxygen.
