Abstract

Temperature. -Replacement of aldehydes (I) by ketones or of malonitrile (II) by malonate derivatives yields the corresponding products only in trace amounts. The use of trimethyl phosphite decreases the yields significantly. The catalyst can be reused at least seven times without significant loss of activity. -(DAR, B.
