Abstract:Large Magnetocaloric Effect in Laves Phase TbMn 1.8 Fe 0.2 Compound over a Wide Temperature Range. -The title compound is characterized by magnetization and heat capacity measurements. TbMn1.8Fe0.2 exhibits a large magnetocaloric effect over a wide effective temperature range, related to a second-order magnetic Tb-Tb sublattice ordering transition at its Curie temperature of about 80 K.
