other 5-membered heterocycles other 5-membered heterocycles (with 3 or more heteroatoms) R 0330 -155New Reactions with Thiosulfines/Dithiiranes: Cycloadditions Leading to Dispiro Derivatives of 1,2,4-Trithiolane.-Reaction of the acetyl α-chloroalkyl disulfides (IV) with morpholine regenerates a thiosulfine as well as a thione intermediate which undergo cycloaddition to afford diastereoselectively trans-configured dispiro derivatives (V) of trithiolane. The corresponding cis-isomers (VI) as well as the unsymmetrical Diels-Alder dimer of the thione intermediate are observed only in a few cases.
