Abstract:Nonracemic Allylic Boronates Through Enantiotopic-Group-Selective Cross--Coupling of Geminal Bis(boronates) and Vinyl Halides. -Under the influence of a chiral palladium catalyst, 1,1-bis(pinacolboronate) esters undergo asymmetric cross-coupling with bromoalkenes to generate nonracemic allyl boronates with high levels of enantioselectivity. Resulting allyl boronates can be used for further transformations. Mechanistic experiments suggest a pathway involving outer-sphere stereoinvertive transmetalation. -(POTTE… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
