Abstract: Aus dem Dimethylbrenzcatechin (I) erhält man bei der Oxidation das Dimethyl‐muconsäureanhydrid (II), das photolytisch zum Cyclobuten (III) reagiert, welches katalytisch zum Anhydrid (IV) hydriert wird.
