Abstract: Cobalt I 7200Syntheses, Structures, and Theoretical Studies of New Ternary Antimonides β-LnCoSb 3 (Ln: La-Nd, Sm). -Single crystals of the title compounds are prepared from stoichiometric mixtures of the elements using Sn as a flux (silica tube, 1050°C, 3 d) and characterized by single crystal XRD and electronic structure calculations for β-LaCoSb3 using the TB-LMTO method.
