ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Some New Cyanopyridine and Cyanopyrans Towards Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Other Microorganisms.

Abstract: Ring closure reactions O 0130Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Some New Cyanopyridine and Cyanopyrans Towards Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Other Microorganisms. -A series of 9 compounds of each type (III), (V), and (VI) is prepared. Some of them show moderate antitubercular or antimicrobial activities. -(VYAS, D. H.; TALA, S. D.; AKBARI, J. D.; DHADUK, M. F.; JOSHI, K. A.; JOSHI*, H. S.; Indian J. Chem., Sect. B: Org. Chem. “…After addition, the mixture was heated to reflux for 6 h and then the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was extracted with CH 2 Cl 2 (3 Â 100 mL), washed with brine (100 mL), dried over Na 2 SO 4 , and then the solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give 3-bromo-4,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde as a white solid 3.91 (s, 3H), 7.54 (s, 1H), 7.78 (s, 1H), 9.88 (s, 1H).…”

“…It has encouraged scientists to search for anti-tumor agents with novel chemical eternity and new model of action. 2-Amino-3-cyanopyridine derivatives are known to have multiple biological activities, such as anti-microbial [3], cardiotonic [4], anti-inflammatory [5] and anti-parkinsonism properties [6]. We are much interested in the anti-tumor activity of these compounds owing to their different types of mechanisms of action.…”

“…In the light of the wide range of biological activities associated with the pyran and fused 4H-pyran derivatives (Khafagy et al, 2002;Ferrerira et al, 2010;Vyas et al, 2009;Martnez et al, 1997), we focused on the synthesis of novel pyrano[2,3H]chrysin derivatives via multi-component reactions (MCRs) and investigation of their in vitro antimicrobial activities. Herein, we report the synthesis and in vitro antimicrobial activities of a series of novel 2-amino 3-cyano 4-aryl pyrano[2,3H]chrysin derivatives along with their molecular modeling studies.…”

“…(Feuer, 1974) Earlier studies have presented that pyran derivatives possess pronounced chemical and biological activities, such antimicrobial activity, (Bonsignore et al, 1993;Ashraf, 2012) anti-coagulant, (Akbar et al, 2015;Dinesh et al, 2017) anti-tumor and anti-HIV. Additionally, their besides valuable for the neurodegenerative disorder behavior, for instance Alzheimer, lateral amyotrophic sclerosis, Huntington's and Parkinson diseases (Fan et al, 2010) Moreover, they are similarly used as cosmetics, (Vyas et al, 2009) pigments, doze and useful as photoactive fabric (Nandakumar et al, 2010). In recent times, a limited approaches have been informed by hiring three-constituent responses exhausting different catalyst like as DBU (1,.0]undec-7-ene) (Wen et al, 2001), TBAB(Tetra-n-butylammonium bromide) (Yusuke et al, 2016), ammonium phosphate (Saeed et al, 2015;Jitender and Ankita, 2012) hetero-poly supermans (Brahmachari et al, 2014).…”
