Abstract:The synthesized compounds are tested for their anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities. The compounds (IIIb) and (IIIf) show significant anti-inflammatory activity compared to the standard drug celecoxib. Further due to its high selectivity ratio compound (IIIb) can be used as template for the design of novel COX-2 enzyme inhibitors.
