Abstract

Synthesis and Conformation of 2-Silylethynyl-Substituted 2,4,4,6-Tetramethyl-1,3-dioxanes.-Reaction of tetramethyl-1,3-dioxanium perchlorate (I) with silylethynylmagnesium bromides (II) and (IV) affords several novel silylethynyl-substituted 1,3-dioxanes (III) and (V), respectively.
