Abstract

Synthesis and Cytotoxic Activity of the Heptaphylline and 7-Methoxyheptaphylline Series. -Compounds (Va) and (XI) show cytotoxicity against the NCI-H187 cell lines, which are about 138-fold and 4-fold stronger than the ellipticine standard, respectively. In addition, compound (Va) displays cytotoxicity against KB cells about 10-fold stronger than standard ellipticine as well as weak cytotoxicity against Vero cells. -(THONGTHOOM, T.; PROMSUWAN, P.; YENJAI*, C.; Eur.
