Abstract

Synthesis and Immunotropic Activity of Thiazolo(3,1-a)benzimidazole Derivatives.-Reaction of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (I) with the dichloroacetone (II) gives the substitution products (III) and (IV). The compound (III) is cyclized upon treatment with sulfuric acid, forming the chloromethylthiazolobenzimidazole (V) which is converted to the aminomethyl derivatives (VII).
