Abstract: Acridine derivatives R 0430Synthesis and Laser Activity of Halo-Acridinedione Derivatives. -Condensation of cyclohexanediones (II) with methoxybenzaldehyde (I) furnishes tetraketones (III), which upon refluxing with halo-anilines (IV) in an acetic acid/ammonium acetate system in toluene provide acridinediones (V) in high yields and short reaction time.
