ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Properties of BiO2 and β‐Bi2O3.

Abstract: Synthesis and Properties of BiO 2 and β-Bi 2 O 3 .-Methods for the preparation of metastable β-Bi 2 O 3 (I) and BiO 2 (II) having a cubic fluorite-like lattice as well as the transformation of (II) into (I) are described. Mechanical mixtures of β-Bi 2 O 3 with MoO 3 prove to be highly active reagents for the selective oxidation of propylene to acrolein. -(ROMANOV, A. N.; SHASHKIN, D. P.; KHAULA, E. V.; Zh.
