Abstract

Cyclophanes O 0450 Synthesis and Properties of Cyclic [5]meta-Phenyleneacetylene and ItsCorresponding Cyclophane Polyone, [2 5 ](1,3)Cyclophanedecaone. -Title compound (I) and the corresponding polyone (III) as well as dione (II) are synthesized and their properties are examined. (I) shows a fairly pronounced emission indicating a rigid structure.
