Abstract: ChemInform Abstract Flash vacuum thermolysis of the phosphaalkyne (I) or pyrolytic dehydrochlorination of dichloro(methyl)phosphane (III) yields the unstable title compound (II) which is trapped by cycloaddition reaction with the diazoacetate (IVb), methyl azide (VII), benzonitrile oxide (IX), or the munchnone (XI), producing phosphorus-containing five-ring heterocycles.
