Abstract

Fused pyrrole derivatives R 0160 β-Ketoesters Derived from Pyroglutamic Acid: New Entry to Hydroxylated Pyrrolizidinones. -The stereoselective catalytic hydrogenation of β-hydroxyesters (I) and (VII) is applied for the preparation of hydroxylated pyrrolizidinones (VI) and (XII).
