Chiari malformation type 1: are we doing less with more? Illustrative case

Abstract: BACKGROUNDClassic treatment of Chiari malformation type 1 consists of foramen magnum decompression. Selected patients may require occipitocervical fixation, transoral odontoidectomy, tonsillectomy, and so forth.
