Abstract:A complete analysis of isospin breaking in K → 2π amplitudes, including both strong (mu = m d ) and electromagnetic corrections at next-to-leading order in chiral perturbation theory, has been achieved recently [1]. We discuss the implication of these effects [2], together with the previously known chiral loop corrections [3,4], on the direct CP-violating ratio ε ′ /ε.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
