Abstract:Chiropractors diagnose and manage musculoskeletal disorders, commonly using spinal manipulative therapy (SMT). Over the past half-century, the chiropractic profession has seen increased utilization in the United States following Medicare authorization for payment of chiropractic SMT in 1972.
