Abstract:Lysosomal acid lipase deficiency is an orphan autosomal recessive disease associated with the presence of mutations in the LIPA gene. Clinical manifestations of lysosomal acid lipase deficiency come in two main forms: Wolman’s disease and cholesterol ester storage disease.
