Abstract: Chronic encapsulated sclerosing peritonitis (CESP) is a very rare cause of intestinal obstruction that has been associated with certain chronic conditions. It is characterized by the thickening of the peritoneum, generating a membrane that covers the intestinal loops and prevents their adequate mobilization.
