“…The patient was diagnosed as having central serous chorioretinopathy and was treated with direct focal lasers to the noncentral areas of leakage, with counseling regarding the recurrent nature of the disease and risk of choroidal neovascular membrane. 1 While central serous chorioretinopathy may show focal areas of leakage at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium in 2 patterns 2 -a smokestack pattern in which the hyperfluprescence ascends with lateral diffusion and an inkblot pattern with uniform expansion of hyperfluorescence from a central point-this patient displays 8 distinct areas of both of these patterns.…”
