Abstract:Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a chronic progressive interstitial pneumonia (IP) with poor prognosis. Acute exacerbation (AE) of IPF (AE-IPF) has a substantial and sometimes fatal impact on prognosis. An effective pharmaceutical treatment for AE-IPF is lacking.
