Trong những giao thức MAC hỗ trợ đa ưu tiên dữ liệu và tiết kiệm năng lượng cho mạng cảm biến không dây đa sự kiện thì giao thức PMME được đánh giá là vượt trội so với các giao thức tiền nhiệm. Tuy nhiên các kịch bản mô phỏng giao thức này mới xét tới sự thay đổi của số nút mà chưa thực hiện với nhiều kịch bản giá trị p trong cơ chế CSMA/CA p-persistent tuyến tính và phi tuyến. Bài báo phân tích ảnh hưởng của các bộ giá trị p theo mức ưu tiên của dữ liệu lên hiệu năng mạng cảm biến đa ưu tiên dựa trên mô phỏng hoạt động của giao thức PMME ưu tiên dữ liệu lớp MAC. Kết quả đạt được cho thấy giao thức PMME sử dụng bộ giá trị p tuyến tính tính giúp mạng duy trì được hiệu quả mạng tốt trên khía cạnh công bằng về độ trễ trong khi giá trị p phi tuyến giúp mạng đảm bảo mức ưu tiên cao nhất sẽ đạt được độ trễ tối ưu hơn trong điều kiện mô phỏng có sự thay đổi của số nút và tập giá trị p ưu tiên cho bốn loại sự kiện.
