Circular RNA circ_RANBP9 exacerbates polycystic ovary syndrome via microRNA-136-5p/ XIAP axis

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disease that affects the health of many women. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are associated with the occurrence and progression of PCOS. This study aimed to explore the function of circ_RANBP9 in PCOS. First, the circ_RANBP9 level was found to be increased in the plasma of patients with PCOS and ovarian granulosa cells (GCs) using Reverse Transcription-Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR). In GCs, loss of circ_RANBP9 decelerated proliferation and accelera… Show more

“…We firstly identified the cytoplasmic location of circ-JA760602 in hypoxia-induced AC16 cells. circRNAs can affect cell apoptosis in various disease models by regulating the expression of apoptosis-related mRNAs (27)(28)(29). Considering the effect of circ-JA760602 on apoptosis, we detected its modulation on the expression of apoptosis-related mRNAs.…”

“…Logarithmic phase cells were routinely digested and inoculated into 96 well plates (5 × 10 4 cells/well) [ 18 ]. The cells were incubated under standard conditions for 24 h. Next, 20 μL of MTT was added in the dark, and the cells were incubated with MTT for 4 h. Finally, the absorbance was measured at 490 nm using a microplate reader.…”
