Abstract:Background: Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) remains one of the most devastating and difficult to manage medical pathologies despite the tremendous progress in neuroscience and neurosurgery. These injuries bear substantial personal and economic burden. SCI is the underlying cause for 1 of every 40 patients admitted to a major trauma centre in EGYPT.
