Abstract

Semi-arid regions face unique climate change challenges that threaten local ecosystems, agriculture, and water resources. This review explores climate adaptation strategies, resource resilience practices, and policy interventions tailored to semi-arid ecosystems, with a focus on Rajasthan, India, as a representative region. Key strategies include sustainable water resource management, soil conservation, and climate-smart agriculture. Through case studies and a comparative global analysis, this review underscores the importance of blending traditional and modern practices to enhance resilience and advocates for policy and technological innovation to support sustainable adaptation.
