Clusters de servicios intensivos en conocimiento en el noreste de México: Un análisis de sus encadenamientos

Abstract

Knowledge-intensive services is the most dynamic area in the largest service economy, due to its capacity for innovation, job creation and growth. They are sources of productivity gains, spillovers of knowledge and generators of their own innovations in the regions. The objective of the study is to analyze the knowledge-intensive services sector in northeastern Mexico, Tamaulipas during the period 2004-2019, from the perspective of the Hirschman-Rasmussen Indices and production multipliers. As a result, classifications of knowledge-intensive services were obtained in two agglomerations, the SPAVA I and SPAVA II clusters. It is concluded that specialized services do not significantly impact final demand. Only the finance, insurance and pensions subsector shows a relative drag capacity.
