CO2 Absorption from Biogas by Glycerol: Conducted in Semi-Batch Bubble Column

Abstract: Abstract. Biogas is a renewable energy source that has been developed recently. The main contents of Biogas itself are Methane and carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) where Methane is the main component of biogas with CO 2 as the highest impurities. The quality of biogas depends on the CO 2 content, the lower CO 2 levels, the higher biogas quality. Absorption is one of the methods to reduce CO 2 level. The selections of absorbent and appropriate operating parameters are important factors in the CO 2 absorption from biogas.… Show more

“…The negative value agrees with the expectation of exothermic absorption. Moreover, a K H px – T (°C) curve was created for 1,2,3-TEP using eq , which is shown in the form of a red line in Figure along with performances of other compounds found in the literature including toluene, MeOH, EtOH ,, –propanol, acetone, ethyl acetate (EtOAC), THF, CH 2 Cl 2 , pyridine, DMF, hexane , –DEP, glycerol, and diglyme . Detailed CO 2 absorption data for these solvents can be found in Table S7.…”
