Abstract:Symptomatic heart failure (sHF) with cardiac dysfunction, edema, and mortality are driven by overactivation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). Renin is widely recognized as a key initiator of RAAS function, yet the mechanisms that activate renin remain a mystery.
