“…Alternation between wind ripple strata and adhesion structures represent humidity changes of the ground, hence water table oscillations (Chakraborty and Chaudhuri, 1993;Tirsgaard and Øxnevad, 1998). Prevailing horizontal strata composed of wind-ripple lamination and adhesion structures, making up a several metres thick package distributed over a large area, suggest that these deposits represent aeolian sand sheets (Clemmensen and Abrahamsen, 1983;Clemmensen and Dam, 1993;Tirsgaard and Øxnevad, 1998;Irmen and Vondra, 2000;Biswas, 2005).
