ARTICLE INFOIt is a fact that early marriages date back to ancient times, and this situation deeply affects societies from sociological and psychological aspects. As a reflection of the situations of the social structure, as the reasons for early marriage; socio-economic reasons, traditions and customs, religious beliefs, education, domestic violence issues can be seen.This study was examined through the novel Devlet Ana by Kemal Tahir, one of the important names in the literary world of the child bride problematic. The sample of the study is Kemal Tahir's novel Devlet Ana.The aim of the research is to determine how the child bride problem is reflected in literary works and to reveal the approach of the society to early marriage. In the study, data were collected by document analysis technique and analyzed by content analysis method. In the theoretical framework of the study, the cultural and social problems created by the child bride problem were mentioned.In Mother State, the book, which tells about the foundation years of the Ottoman Empire, is evaluated from a different perspective, what kind of developments have been made regarding this problem in today's societies and what are the reflections of these problems on society. Child brides in the Labor State Home book; Honey Girl, Aslıhan and Lotus were conducted.In the conclusion part of the study, what kind of work should be done to prevent early marriage and what kind of cultural and social measures should be taken in the fight against this problem and the study was concluded.
