Abstract:Ovine herpesvirus-2 causes sheep-associated malignant catarrhal fever, a fatal disease of ruminants and pigs. The virus is carried by sheep, and infection is typically subclinical. Here, we report the coding complete genome sequence of a strain of OvHV-2 obtained from a clinically affected domestic lamb.
