Coexisting Attractors and Multistability in a Simple Memristive Wien-Bridge Chaotic Circuit

Abstract: In this paper, a new voltage-controlled memristor is presented. The mathematical expression of this memristor has an absolute value term, so it is called an absolute voltage-controlled memristor. The proposed memristor is locally active, which is proved by its DC V–I (Voltage–Current) plot. A simple three-order Wien-bridge chaotic circuit without inductor is constructed on the basis of the presented memristor. The dynamical behaviors of the simple chaotic system are analyzed in this paper. The main properties … Show more

From those aforementioned papers, only Funabashi [ 95 ] presented some slight relationship with the reproducibility of nonlinear dynamics fields.…”

“…Apart from what has been said, we also present some related investigations on chaos theory and highlight some limitations on their reproducibility. The authors of [ 81 ] investigated a new model for a voltage-controlled memristor, called an absolute memristor, because it has an absolute value term. They used Multisim software to simulate the circuit model based on the memristor.…”

“…Some scholars have proposed a memristor that possesses a cubic nonlinear [37], a quadratic nonlinear characteristic, and some other improved models [16]. If these models are introduced into a specific circuit, the behavior of the circuit exhibits extremely complex nonlinear behavior, and even chaotic oscillations may occur [37][38][39][40]. The concept of memristors greatly enriches the circuit theory, causing the circuit to have more nonlinear dynamical behavior [32].…”

“…Reference [24] analyzed the complex dynamics in a memcapacitor-based circuit. Reference [25] proposed a memristive wien-bridge chaotic circuit, and the coexisting attractors and multi-stability of chaotic systems were analyzed in these two references. A new three-dimensional fractional order chaotic system without equilibrium was proposed in Reference [26], and a circuit implementation of the fractional order system was presented.…”
