Coherent mid-infrared vortex generation at room temperature for manipulation of microparticles

Abstract: We investigate the generation of mid-infrared (mid-IR) vortex beams carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) through nonlinear processes in an inhomogeneously broadened 85Rb atomic ensemble.
