Abstract:In deep-sea chemosynthetic ecosystems, macrofaunal diversity and distribution are determined by geochemical environments generated by fluid seepage. The South China Sea is located in the northwestern Pacific Ocean with a passive continental shelf, containing over 40 seep sites.
