Abstract:Collagen-derived cryptic peptides (cryptides) are biologically active peptides derived from the proteolytic digestion of collagen protein. These cryptides possess a multitude of activities, including antihypertensive, antiproliferative, and antibacterial. The latter, however, has not been extensively studied.
