Collective Choice

James K. L. Wong

Abstract: Collective choice is the aggregation of choices of more than one individual over a set of alternatives. It is relevant to politics whenever collective decisions are based on more than one individual choice or decision. The outcome of collective choice depends on the aggregation procedure used. Presumably, a desirable procedure should at least reflect the given individual choices as much as possible.
