Color Evolution in Single Crystal Colored Cubic Zirconias With Annealing Atmosphere and Temperature

Abstract: Color change in single-crystal, yellow, red, purple, and colorless cubic zirconias (CZs) was investigated as a function of annealing in vacuum and air atmosphere at 800-1400°C for 30 min, for development of a damascene process of plugging a precious metal paste at the elevated temperature.
