Color-tunable luminescence and energy transfer of Ba2YZrO6:R (R = Dy3+, Sm3+, Dy3+/Sm3+)

Abstract: Rare earth ions (Dy3+ and Sm3+) doped luminescence materials have been attracted more interest owing to their excellent luminous properties. Here, Ba2YZrO6:R (R = Dy3+, Sm3+, Dy3+/Sm3+) are prepared in air by using high-temperature solid-state method. The crystal phase and purity are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The luminous properties are studied by using optical spectrometer. Green emission of Ba2YZrO6:Dy3+ with excitation at 260 nm is observed.
