“…MLR has previously been proven to have an independent association with various malignancies. [20][21][22][23][24][25] For example, Yuan et al 11) reported that MLR was an independent prognostic factor in surgically resected stage I-III NSCLC. However, this cohort study did not focus on early-stage NSCLC patients and also did not analyze disease-free survival (DFS) in early-stage NSCLC patients.…”

“…Zhang et al conducted a retrospective analysis of 209 patients with BC undergoing radical cystectomy, nding SII was an independent predictor for OS and provided more accurate prognostic predication than neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and C-reactive protein/albumin ratio 17 . Similarly, Jan et al observed that SII is superior to NLR, PLR and monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) as a predictor of survival in patients with UTUC 24 . Besides, a high SII was associated with adverse characteristics such as lymphovascular invasion, positive lymph node and more aggressive phenotype, which is consistent with our ndings.…”

“…Although it has been proposed that LVI should be accurately recorded in the pathological reports for UTUC specimens, there are still controversial data regarding the impact of LVI on patient prognosis and survival. For example, Jan et al (13) recently reported that LVI was not associated with OS and CSS in a multivariate analysis. Eich et al (47) found that LVI was not associated with tumor progression, total mortality, and CSM.…”
