“…The present study showed that in a cohort of 450 LBD patients, the sensitivity of both the DAT scan and MIBG myocardial scintigraphy was high for the 222 PD patients; the DAT scan was high for the 209 DLB patients; and the MIBG myocardial scintigraphy was high for the 19 autonomic‐sleep variant patients. The results are almost in accordance with those in the previous reports in which both DAT scan and MIBG myocardial scintigraphy were performed in the same cohort …”

“…Asahi et al reported 15 clinically diagnosed PD patients, of whom 13 (87%) showed abnormal results (no clear description of criteria) on both DAT and MIBG and 2 (13%) showed abnormal results on DAT alone; none (0%) showed abnormal results for MIBG alone or negative results for both. Yoshii et al reported 120 clinically diagnosed PD patients, of whom 89 (74%) showed abnormal results on both DAT (SBR < 4.5) and MIBG (HM ratio < 2.2), 21 (18%) were abnormal on DAT alone, 5 (4%) were abnormal on MIBG alone, and 5 (4%) were negative on both. Tiraboschi et al reported 30 clinically diagnosed DLB patients, 27 (90%) of whom were abnormal on both DAT (−2SD) and MIBG (HM ratio < 1.6) while none (0%) were abnormal on DAT alone, 1 (3%) was abnormal on MIBG alone, and 2 (7%) were negative on both.…”

“…Because the frequency of her OT was similar to the resting tremor frequency seen in PD, we performed a [ 123 I]-FP-CIT DAT-SPECT study using the procedures described in our previous report [3]. For assessment of the DAT images, the SBR was calculated semi-quantitatively using DAT VIEW automated analysis software (Nihon Medi-Physics, Tokyo, Japan).…”
