Combining strength and toughness in ultrahigh strength steel

Abstract: The main objective of this investigation is to examine the effects of a new technique, double-ageing, on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the ultrahigh strength steel Aermet 100. Under the condition of double-ageing, there is no apparent decrease in the steel strength.
