Abstract:The control over the adsorption or grafting of biomolecules from a liquid to a solid interface is of fundamental importance in different fields, such as drug delivery, pharmaceutics, diagnostics, and tissue engineering. It is thus important to understand and characterize how biomolecules interact with surfaces and to quantitatively measure parameters such as adsorbed amount, kinetics of adsorption and desorption, conformation of the adsorbed biomolecules, orientation, and aggregation state. A better understand… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
