Büyüksaraç and Yalcin Erik (2010) question several aspects of the Sivas Basin section of my article, without providing contradictory geological data. They claim that Sivas Basin was very well known, despite existence of a single exploration well drilled in the whole basin.…”

“…Secondly, the values on the map of Tezcan (1995) do not correspond to the basementesediment interface heat flow values of Huvaz (2009). Büyüksaraç and Yalcin Erik (2010) unfortunately make a comparison of parameters associated with different geological reference points. The method used by Bektas et al (2007) is also relevant.…”

“…The pyrolysis analysis performed in these two studies is different and were performed on different sample sets, probably associated to different intervals of the formation. Büyüksaraç and Yalcin Erik (2010) claim that the information I provided about the Yagmurluseki Formation from the Calalli-1 well is imaginary and fabricated. They do not support this argument with evidence or data, but mention the composite log of the well, which they are also lacking to publish with their comment.…”
