Community-Oriented Multimedia Content Maximization Mechanism in Social Internet of Things

Abstract: Social Internet of thing (SIoT) is an emerging area that introduces sociology theories into IoT networks, in order to support the spread behaviour of multimedia contents. With the explosive growth of data in the internet, traditional solutions are no longer suitable for large-scale SIoT networks. To address this challenge, this work target to optimize the information propagation in SIoT networks. First, we establish a novel model to divide SIoT network into communities on the basis of network social attributes… Show more

“…HE advancement of internet technology in recent years has promoted the rapid development of Social Internet of Things (SIoT) [1][2][3][4][5][6], which is a concept proposed through the combination of social networks [7][8][9] and Internet of Things (IoT) [10][11][12]. The attributes of social networks are introduced into the IoT to establish relationships between things-things, things-people, and people-people, so as to realize the connection, service, and application of the IoT.…”

“…Nowadays, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has been widely used in monitoring, controlling, tracking and other fields based on its sensing, computing and communication capabilities [ 1 ]. In order to help realize the utilization potentiality of the Internet of Things (IoT), the WSN virtualization architecture is emerging to overcome the inefficiencies of proprietary, single-purpose, single-user WSNs [ 2 , 3 ]. Driven by the developing needs of the IoT, the 5G mMTC scenario should deploy a huge number of sensors [ 4 , 5 , 6 ], while the traditional WSN in the public area is generally laid separately by each user for his specific task, which is unavailable for other users even if the state of WSN is idle.…”
