Abstract:Echelle-inspired cross-grating spectrometers try to combine the high performance of classical Echelle spectrometers and the small footprint of compact line-grating spectrometers. Therefore, a cross-grating is used which is a superposition of two perpendicularly oriented line gratings in a single element. Highly resolved, but overlapping, diffractions orders are created by the main grating, which are separated by the cross-disperser. This powerful approach is connected to different challenges concerning the opt… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
